Now after bass fishing got slow, it was time to get back onto trout rivers in the Central West. Went back to my usual stomping grounds and to my surprise found that the river is running way lower than previous couple of years. Also not much insect activity happening for some reason, as I was expecting hoppers to be out by this time. Still managed to land a few reasonable size rainbows and loose a few more mostly on the nymphs sitting off the dropper of a big stimie or another type of big dry fly. A pretty good day out west looking forward to coming few more times this season.
