Mountains have been getting quite a bit of rain lately, which is obviously good for the rivers, flora an so on, but for us fishermen never ending rain can soon become pretty annoying. We were really close on cancelling this trip when the forecast showed 20mm of rain and rather thought going having a beer in the town instead. Oh god, and how glad we actually did ended up going up there. It was one of the best sessions, if not in the last few years, this year for sure. Hands down. I landed my PB brown trout in the Blue Mountains, while my buddy caught plenty of fish to keep him entertained on his custom build 3wt rod. One of those sessions we will remember for a long time I think, and it will be hard to top it off.
