This time we made a solid effort to drive deep into the mountains, trying to find an access to one of the remote rivers there. First day we spent driving around through state forests and getting lost a few times, spending a night just at the random campsite in the National Park, which wasn’t too bad with lots of blooming flowers and all kinds of interesting flora as well as few pretty cool lookouts nearby. Next morning we packed up early and tried to access the same river from the different side of mountain range, but with better luck this time. River looked in a perfect condition, when we got there, and that reflected on the number of quality fish we landed that afternoon. In one little run I pulled out maybe 5 or 6 decent size trout, they were just about everywhere sometimes taking dries sometimes nymphs. So dropper rig in that particular section worked really well.
