The last bass trip down the coast for the year. The plan was to try and chase bream during the day in the nearby estuaries and hit rivers for bass in the evenings. Well, the plan didn’t really pan out as bream were far and in between, while bass not feeding off the top anymore. Seems like weather cooled down just enough for fish to sit deeper and not look on the surface at all. Only managed 1-2 bass in an open water where I saw them chasing baitfish, so I chucked one of the bass vapire patterns and they hit that without the hesitation. Even though it’s kind of fun, it’s not really why I chase bass so I guess I’ll just leave fishing for this species on the shelf until the next year.
