One might think that winter time is a down time for trout fishermen. But fortunately not for the really keen ones. After many years planning on going to this river and after some peoples advices for some access spots I tied some winter patterns, bought a new sleeping mattress and headed deep into the Blue Mountains wilderness with a hope of catching a winter trout. I knew the river is super pretty, but I had never seen it in that section. When I got there it just blew my mind. It really is a mini New Zealand. And fishing was pretty good too.
